With three of yesterday evening’s five local authority election results in (00:30 Friday morning) it would appear that the BNP have beaten the Labour Party in every contest. Whether that will be the case with the outstanding Barking & Dagenham and Derbyshire County Council results remains to be seen!

Ind – 661 (27.0%)
BNP – 518 (21.2%)
Con – 438 (17.9%)
Lab – 416 (17.0%)
HRA – 287 (11.7%)
UKIP – 64 (2.6%)
ED – 28 (1.2%)
LRA – 17 (0.7%)
Ind – 17 (0.7%)
Well done to Anthony Steff and his team for an outstanding effort in a first time BNP contest for this ward.
Bexley Council – Christchurch Ward
Con – 1192 (47.8%)
Lib-Dem – 459 (18.4%)
BNP – 431 (17.3%)
Lab - 411 (16.5%)
Well done to Michael Barnbrook and his team for an excellent first time out effort in this ward never previously contested by the BNP.
Corsham Town Council, Wilts.
Lib-Dem – 676 (40.6%)
Con – 399 (24.0%)
Ind – 172 (10.3%)
Ind – 147 (8.8%)
BNP - 119 (7.3%)
Lab – 92 (5.5%)
Green – 42 (2.5%)
Ind 16 – (1.0%)
Well done to Mike Howson for a reasonable result in a very difficult area.

How do the percentages compare with last time (even when the BNP weren't standing)? The relative falls in the other parties might show where the BNP vote is coming from. My guess would be disproportionately NuLabour.
