Tell us a bit about yourself - please

I cannot make out the flag. Someone help me.

OK I just gotta know. What is that flag? You are a regular visitor to the site and I know your IP address but that is about it as you are coming in unknown. Usually I automatically block unknowns as they are coming in from Red China with porn links or red rats leaving abuse but a few like yours I let through our of curiosity.

Now this site has visitors from all over the World and quite a few from satellite systems from ships in the middle of nowhere. Usually American ships and usually military and I like to track them. I like to see the different flags being ex navy and I thought I knew my flags but yours has thrown me.

I believe you are somewhere in the Gulf of Guinea and reading this about the area, you appear to be one lucky dude to live in such a beautiful place or is my map out and your on the island of Bioko of Equatorial Guinea?
Largely unexplored and unexploited by tourism, these tropical volcanic islands off the west African coast are the antithesis of mass-market destinations – and one of the most unspoilt places on earth. The author guides pioneering travellers round this African island paradise, 75% of which is covered by rainforest, and its unspoilt palm-fringed beaches, towering volcanic peaks, and fascinating colonial heritage. She also provides in-depth coverage of Sâo Tomean culture and history as well as contemporary political issues.
So come on tell me/us. If you do not want your information published just say so in your comment and I will not publish it. Comment moderation is reluctantly enabled on this site.

I just gotta know.

  7. Wasp. I just enlarged the picture and it looks very much to me to be the flag of the UN.

  8. Yep, that's the U.N. flag.

The location appears to be somewhere south of Acra and west of Sao Tome, but there's nothing there according to a couple of maps I've checked... Aliens, maybe? The real location of Atlantis. SPECTRE's new underwater HQ, Ernst S. Blofeld perhaps reading your blog whilst stroking his pussy, maybe? :)

  9. lierpool that is quite common. I sometimes show up as either being in slough or london.

Unless the IP is static you will get that. The IP is just good for discovering the service provider who who would have a log of who used the ip at a certain time.

About that Flag. I thought Nato at first glance but it is not Nato.

UN Flag. Yes it does look as if it is. Now to find out where the UN Office is in Equatorial Guinea:)

  10. São Tomé as a UN Office their for Humanitarian Affairs. They are also doing some work on piracy.

That might account for why I sometimes see visitors from ship in the area. I will grab some screen shots next time.

  11. Perhaps it is a Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship on a U.N. exercise. Consult Navy News.

  12. Celtic Morning. Its Somalian pirates using the UN flag as a flag of convenience. It was quite common for ships to sail under false flags in days of old, only revealing their identity and hoisting their true flag when about to attack, As we all know, Somalis etc are firmly embedded in the distand past.

  13. Given it's small size, it's hard to make it out properly, but it does bear some resemblance to the flag of Kazakhstan: a golden eagle with wings outstretched around a yellow sun on a blue background.
