Corporal John Rigby of "The Rifles"

The Rifles have suffered another loss of a brave soldier. Corporal John Rigby has died of injuries received when a road bomb exploded as his unit was returning from patrol on Friday.

Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Sanders, Cpl Rigby's Commanding Officer said his battalion was "utterly heartbroken".

He said: "The death of any soldier is a tragedy and in death all are equal, but there are some whose loss is particularly hard to bear. "The force of their personality, their personal and professional qualities and the love, respect and popularity they inspire set them apart. Corporal John Rigby was such a man. "We are utterly heartbroken. But we are also unbowed, tough and determined: John would have it no other way."

I am sure our hearts go out to his family and friends and to his twin brother who is also serving in The Rifles and was at his brother bedside when he passed away from his wounds.

We want Our Boys home. We do not care what happens to Iraq and Afghanistan. They can kill each other in their thousands, we do not care, so long as British lives are not lost in an illegal war. A war started by a man who now flees from office but will never flee the wrath of a British National Party government and the BNP members and supporters. Your can read more about The Rifles here.

  1. Yes my heart too goes out to another brave young man and his family. We should bring our troops home now, how many more must die in foreign lands for Blair's ego.
RIP John Rigby we won't forget!

  2. Blair steps down , Brown steps up , one traitor replaces another and the country drifts on to disaster . At our elections , one party might replace another but the betrayal goes on and it makes no difference . This is our much vaunted " democracy " where we are denied a referendum on the EU because the politicians know that the people would overwhelmingly vote against it. Where the politicians take power and then ignore the will of the people . What can we do about it ? Time is fast running out . The apathy is so deep seated it has even affected our armed forces , not the army which still performs with outstanding bravery but look at the navy , look at the incident in the gulf with the Iranians and admit that our fleet is no longer " fit for purpose " as the current popular jargon would have it . It will take a miracle for the British people to suddenly turn to the BNP in sufficient numbers to sweep us into power and even if that happened we would still have to battle tooth and nail against the forces of the establishment which would remain in place , running like a cancer through British society . We are too apathetic , we accept our fate and instead of taking drastic action we turn away and laugh at ourselves . Its time to stop laughing for soon we will be crying . We can post our comments on sites such as this till the cows come home , its a safety valve . But how do we really make changes ? Quickly ! Any ideas ?

  3. Celtic, I do not know. I honestly don't. I thought we might see some real protest over this betrayal by Blair. But nothing. It is as if the People are drugged.

    I despair. I truly do.
