It isn't just the Metropolitan Police that disriminates against indiginous recruits. There appears to be a nationwide policy of staffing the police forces with people whose primary loyalty is not to Britain:

Because Ivanovic has a two-inch Union Jack flag tattooed on his arm with the words “British Army”, he was not even considered for employment by Cumbria Constabulary.
