Where to drink in Exeter

Well if ever you are in Exeter and your wondering where you can call in for a tidy pint and tidy company, it might be well worth giving the Cowick Barton public house in Cowick Lane, St Thomas a go.

Besides supporting local business you will also be showing support to the landlord Craig Frost who supports freedom of speech and democracy and is not afraid to say so.

Liberal Democrat Councillor, Rob Hannaford on discovering that the BNP had held meetings at the pub tried to get them stopped. However Mr Frost seems to have a different understanding of democracy to the illiberal councillor and made the following statement:

"I believe in a democratic society where everyone has their own point of view."
And is standing by his decision to let Great Britain's only patriotic party continue to use his premises for their meetings of usually between 20 and 40 members.

Well needless to say this display of courage infuriated the crazed councillor who had probably just heard of the Ibstock and Heather by-election results in which his party crawled in last, who exploded with:
"I am appalled and disgusted that this extreme racist party is holding meetings in Exeter.

"There is no place for hatred or intolerance in our city.
And then to display his proud heritage of tolerance he explained how his grandfather was always proud of the fact that he had personally thrown two political opponents into a river during the 30's. This tolerance he speaks of must run in the family.

Leaping right into insanity, he then accused the BNP of bombing Exeter during the 2nd World War and announced that he had alerted the Devon Race Equality Council and the Anti-Nazi League of the threat to the people of Exeter and calling on their support.

Well I do not know about the DREC but the aptly named ANL disbanded in 2004 and the remaining Socialist Workers Party members moved over to the Moslem and government funded UAF, run by Red Ken Livingstone and Lee Jasper.

Interesting thing about the Anti-Nazi League is that one of the founder members went by the name of Peter Hain. Then of course, he was a Young Liberal Leader and another lover of law and order. Which he proved by allegedly holding up a bank, associating with terrorists and digging up cricket grounds. Wonderfully tolerant these Liberals.

arrow. i have fought socialists all my life.10 years ago i was made redundant from a very good u.s.owned company.as soon as labour come into power they sold up and were bought out by american reds.now the firm i work for 10 of us worked for the old firm.my interview was simply "when can you start" salary no problem.no references police checks etc.cigarette breaks ok but dont take the piss.political correctness is zero.the boss's and directors ? ok we know your bnp and respect it as long as you dont push it on people in the work place.there are many nationalist companies out there but scared under the blair new britain regime.one good thing is though we do not employ people that have to leave at 1pm on a friday to go to mosque on full pay to pray but are really driving taxis in that time

the BNP are more powerful and have more support than the communists think.

in fact those that directly come out as communists get NO support from the public.

even galloway hiding a communist party as an anti war party has failed badly.

what we need to do is turn the tables.

we need a blacklist hall of shame for companies that have spoke out against the BNP. expose them with negative publicity.

we get around 20% of vote where we stand - ignore or victimise at your peril!

The unfortunately named Dr Paul Newgass of the Synagogue presently preparing for Holocaust Memorial Day should calm down a little and draw breath.
The patriotic people of the BNP are descended from those who went to war against those who carried out the Holocaust he's preparing to commemorate.
They didnt fight and die so their land ciould be turned into a Marxist banana republic where if the ruling class dont like a different political view they hound and victimise.
I'm worried about the brave landlord of this pub, and suggest we keep an eye on those sinister websites calling on thugs to "make their feelings known" to supporters of Freedom.
The rentamob which turned up to prevent Nick Griffin speaking in debate were mobilised from all over the country.

A meeting organised by the notorious David Irving was cancelled 24 hours before it was to take place after Searchlight learned of the booking at a Liverpool hotel.

The convicted Holocaust denier was going to speak to an audience of up to 20 people at the Liner Hotel on Saturday 12 January, after failing to secure an invitation to Liverpool's universities. The room had been booked falsely under the name of the Liverpool Historical Society.

Irving's presence would have cast a shadow over the launch of city's year as the European capital of culture.

The hotel's guest services manager told Searchlight that he knew nothing about David Irving but became concerned when we mentioned Irving's attempt to speak at the Oxford Union. Uncertain whether he could cancel the meeting because the organisers had paid for the room in advance, he said he would discuss the matter with the police.

But after the hotel was contacted on Friday 11 January by Alec McFadden, President of Merseyside TUC, the meeting was quickly cancelled.

Soon afterwards Irving's website announced that the meeting had been cancelled "on police advice" and promised that "a full refund will be made". The audience would not have got much for their money as no refreshments had been booked. Irving thanked "Bob J and his friends who had organised".

In fact the room had been booked by Michael Sheil, who stood as a British National Party local election candidate in Liverpool in 2003 - so much for Irving's constant denials that he has any contact with the BNP.

Searchlight, 11 January 2008

This is how they stifle free speech. Now I've no truck with Irving but that's not the point is it?
We're either free to think for ourselves or we aren't.
Searchlight are agents of the State, funded b y unions and government, they have no business disrupting by force any meetings or speeches given by political opponents. Mugabe does that (Peter Hains old mate)

"modern politically correct orthodoxy derives from Marx, the Frankfurt School, and the ideology of the revolutionary Left."

This could have been written yesterday:

From the Naked Communist (Cleon Skousen)
Noted in U.S. Congressional Record on January 10, 1963

Current Communist Goals:
3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture."

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

I am appalled and disgusted that this extreme racist party is holding meetings in Exeter.

"There is no place for hatred or intolerance in our city".

So displaying buckets of hatred and intolerance towards a legal democratic party.
