A tale of two councils

Doing my bit as moderator over on the BNP Chatroll, I thought I might as well see what the Liberal Democrats were getting up to in Wales, so off I went to read about Kirsty Williams.

Kirsty is the Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats and as a wonderful sense of humour. I was in stitches at this bit.

I remember reading this over on the Liberal Democrat site.

"The Courts do not take benefit fraud lightly and neither do we. We must ensure money goes where it is intended - to genuine claimants. And I urge anyone who suspects fraud to contact us without delay. All calls will be treated in strict confidence. Our investigators have a good track record in bringing the fraudsters to justice and their efforts will continue without let-up."

Good stuff. Until one of their councillors, an ericher by the name of Arif Waghat, got caught with his hands in a the Benefit Fiddle Till.

The oh so principled Liberal Democrats refused to sack him from the party, But you can undertand why, when I tell you that the thief was the Deputy Leader of the Lib Dems in that area. You can read that story here and I recommend that you do.

Then of course there was this little story here from this Monday, in which revealed how their activists were instructed to lie to members of the public when out canvasing.

“you can secure support from votes from voters who normally vote Tory by being effectively anti-Labour and similarly in a Tory area secure Labour votes by being anti-Tory.”

Not too sure I can handle much more of Liberal Democrat principles and honesty. But I will try, and finally get to the purpose of this post. A Tale of Two Councils. Trust me on this next bit of info. It is the real McCoy.

The astonishing greed of the twelve Liberal Democrat councillors on Ashfield District Council is truly jaw-dropping.

For the year in question, and remember most of them were only elected in May 2007, they pocketed between them a total of ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN POUNDS of OUR TAX MONEY.

£171,267 – with the average ‘D’ band property rate for Ashfield being £165 that is the equivalent of 1,040 households paying their Tax straight into the greedy Lib Dem pockets. Or put another way, that is almost EVERY house in Underwood or EVERY house in Jacksdale PAYING JUST FOR THE LIB DEMS.

For contrast, and to show the extent of their greed, compare their allowances to that paid to neighbouring Amber Valley councillors.

BEAR IN MIND THAT AMBER VALLEY HAS BNP COUNCILLORS KEEPING AN EYE ON THINGS!

Councillors are paid a basic allowance plus special responsibility for extra duties.

BASIC ALLOWANCE AVERAGE: Lib Dem in Ashfield gets £5,554 Amber Valley Councillor gets £2,865 – that’s almost DOUBLE

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITY ALLOWANCE AVERAGE: Lib Dem in Ashfield gets £7,372 Amber Valley Councillor gets £1,096.91 A MASSIVE 600% DIFFERENCE

In AMBER VALLEY (45 councillors in total) only SIX claimed over £4,000 in Special Responsibility Allowances, whereas in Ashfield (33 councillors) EVERY LIB DEM but three claimed OVER £5,000

Well enough of Liberal Values. They are the same as those of Parliament. Filth that wil eat one more potateo than a pig.

The hypocrisy of the Liberal Democrats

But if you are a Liberal Democrat we will not do a damn thing

It seems that the petitioners who objected to the appointment of the crooked Councillor Gul Nawaz as Deputy Mayor of Peterborough have failed in their bid get the Brown Clown to intervene.

Nawaz who was imprisoned for his part in a £3,000 benefit fraud back in 2002 after a very lenient sentence of just two months in jail meant that he was free to stand as a councillor on his release. The law states that three months is the minimum prison term for disqualification for the right to apply to serve.

However it is a bit rich of one the petitioners supporters, Liberal Democrat city council leader, Nick Sandford to complain by saying;

"The question was whether it was appropriate, in terms of the reputation of the council, to have someone convicted of a crime involving dishonesty appointed to such a position of responsibility."

I mean, it was one of their own Lib Dem Councillors, Arif Waghat who recieved a paltry 8 weeks suspended sentence after also committing benefit fraud to the same amount. In fact they did not even suspend him from their party prior to his trial. Then again he was the Deputy Leader of their party in their area.

The following is from a Liberal Democrat site on the subject of benefit fraud.

Remember, this only applies if the thieves are not Liberal Democrat Councillors.

Liberal Democrats policy on Benefit Fraud

NO IFS, NO BUTS - Unless your a Liberal Democrat Councillor

Just cruising around wondering who to take a pop at, when I came across this little piece here on a warning about benefit fraud on a not so Liberal Democrat site.

Council Leader, Cllr Serge Lourie, had this to say:

And I urge anyone who suspects fraud to contact us without delay. All calls will be treated in strict confidence. Our investigators have a good track record in bringing the fraudsters to justice and their efforts will continue without let-up."

And quite right to. So I wonder if he would like to comment on the fact that a Liberal Democrat Councillor, Arif Waghat, who had received a paltry 8 weeks suspended sentence for a £3,000 benefit fraud has been welcomed back as a Lib Dem Councillor. Why wasn't he jailed?

In fact, when the crime was first reported, the Lib Dems did not even have the courage to suspend him from their party. Perhaps it was the fact that the man was their Deputy Leader in the area.

The shamed councillor who feels no shame(his kind never do) had this to say;

“They needed our hands on the deck. I am glad to be back in the fold after my time in the wilderness and look forward to working towards Liberal Democrat principles.”

Is Benefit Fraud a Liberal Democrat principle? Certainly seems that way.

But the councillor was not alone in being allowed back into the Lib Dem fold in that area.

There was a bit of scandal involving another Lib Dem Councillor, Yusaf Sadat had actually been suspended "pending an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct that could bring the group into disrepute". I laughed at that.

So what he been up to one wonders. If I say that, all I know is that it involved an allged incident involving a woman, I will leave you to draw your own conclusions. Who knows, who knows.

Either way both of the enrichers are now firmly back embedded in the feeding trough of public money.

Liberal Democrats. Don't you just luv em.

Talking to the Lib Dems and the UAF

What a thing to to have to think about whilst waiting for BNP Day, also known as May 1st. Liberal Democrats. What is one to make of them? and which are the worst? Their politicians or their voters?

I spend many hours over two years talking to Liberal Democrat Councillor, during which time I had to conceal my BNP support in order to maintain my job and support my family but you always learn more by listening than talking and so I would let him talk and talk and talk. Did I mention that Lib Dem politicians like to talk.

This Lib Dem Councillor was a true one worlder with no concept of a national identity or rather, that national identities were wrong and should be abolished. A child of the damaged 70's, his entire political philosophy seemed to have been built around a song by Blue Mink called Melting Pot that he would actually sing to himself.

Take a pinch of white man
Wrap him up in black skin
Add a touch of blue blood
And a little bitty bit of red Indian boy

Curly Latin kinkies
Mixed with yellow Chinkees
If you lump it all together

And that was it. He really believed that. He also believed that jobs in Our Country should be exported overseas as their needs were greater and we should see our sacrifices as the price to be paid for our "past sins". His views to crimes such as mugging were that if we all had nothing then would be attackers would see no point in attacking people and we could all move around freely again.

Totally and hopelessly insane. The BNP will never win the votes of people like this. They are deranged and their views laughable. But they are the ones I truly find frightening out of the Lib/Lab/con pact because they are insane. They are not cuddly, they are crazy.

On a lighter note, a portion of a UAF questionnaire has come into my possession which I post below without comment.

A. Organise a free music gig and chant "Smash the Fash", "Smash the Fash".

Q. And if this does not work?

A. Run away, run away, run away.
