BNP Councillor Kevin Edwards and Sian James (Lab) MP

Sian James. Does she look like she enjoys chocolate?

Some people just do not when to keep their mouths shut and Labour MP for Swansea East, Sian James is one such person.

Claiming in the Labour apologist site, thisissouthwales, that she is extremely thrifty, she is indignant that people would think she is the kind of person who would claim for a chocolate Santa? By all accounts it had been claimed by accidental slip and so she said:
"Would people think I would be so unintelligent as to claim for such a trivial thing?"
Well I might have, until you insisted on going public about it. Because now, thanks to British National Party councillor and Welsh MEP candidate, Kevin Edwards, we know just what she has claimed for and sadly none of it is trivial.

This following is a copy of a letter that Kevin has kindly copied me in on, that as also been sent to The South Wales Evening Post.

Dear Sir.

I refer to your article in The South Wales Evening Post on Saturday 16th of May 2009 with regard to the MP's Expenses Row.

I am amazed that you seem to have accepted Swansea East MP Sian James explanation that she has " always kept my expenses minimal" and is a "Thrifty MP."

If you had checked the level of expenses claimed by Miss James over the last two years you would have found her anything but " Thrifty."

For the financial years 2007/2008 her claim for expenses was £148,151.

For the financial year 2008/2009 her expenses had risen by a staggering £86,807 to the massive total of £235,058 giving her a total income for the year of £317,181.

At a time of mass unemployment and record home re-possessions I am sure that the electorate of Swansea East would consider her to be less than " Thrifty."

How can Miss James claim to have " always kept my expenses minimal" be taken seriously considering such a rise.

It is also worth noting that two other MP's Nia Griffith and Adam Price who contributed to the same article have also seen exorbitant rises in their expenses for this year.

For the financial year 2008/2009 Adam Price's total income was £317,496 of which £235,373 came in expenses an increase of £85,709 over the expenses figure of £149,664 which he claimed in 2007/2008.

Nia Griffiths MP's total income for 2008/2009 was £ 331,428 of which £249,305 came in expenses an increase of £90,876 over her expenses claim of £158,429 for 2007/2008.

I am certain that when your readers are made aware of how their honourable members have "pillaged" their money over the last twelve months that they will give them a resounding "Thumbs Down" at the Ballot Box at the forthcoming European and General elections.

Yours Sincerely,

Councillor Kevin Edwards

Organiser West Wales British National Party

Thank you for that Kevin. You might like to know that Sian does appear to have a thing about chocolate and freebies, as I see she enjoyed a free holiday in South Africa paid by Nestle, the chocolate manufacturers.

I think you can all guess, as to this little piggies voting record but here it is anyway.
  • Voted very strongly for introducing a smoking ban.
  • Voted very strongly for introducing ID cards.
  • Voted very strongly against an investigation into the Iraq war.
  • Did not vote in support of the Gurkas.
  • Did not vote for a transparent parliament.
Oh well, you all know what to do on June 4th. Punish the Pigs and vote BNP.
