Green Arrow site and Internet Explorer 8

Some people are having problems accessing this site via Internet Explorer 8.

Why people are still using Internet Explorer is beyond me. It is the worst browser on the market. Slow and full of security holes it is equal to leaving your back door and windows open and going away from home for a year.

Recommend browser for speed and security is Firefox that you can download here or if you must use IE then regress to a previous version by doing the following.
Uninstall IE8 on Windows XP
  1. Click “Start” button and select “Control Panel“
  2. Select “Add or Remove Programs“
  3. Find and select “Windows Internet Explorer 8” from the list of available applications.
  4. Click the “Remove” button.
  5. Restart computer.
Uninstall IE8 on Windows Vista

  1. Click “Start” button and select “Control Panel“.
  2. Select “Programs” (or “Program and Features” if you’re using the Classic View).
  3. Select “View installed updates” (it will be under the Tasks column if you’re using the Classic View).
  4. Find and select “Windows Internet Explorer 8” from the list of available updates.
  5. Click the “Uninstall” button at the top of the list.
  6. Restart computer.
Another option is to try the following:

Copy the web address in your link to GA, mine is http://isupporttheresistance.blogspot.com/

Open IE, don't bother going to any specific page, you don't need to,

On the top right hand toolbar, click on: Tools, Internet Options,

In the new window that pops up click on Security, Trusted Sites, Sites

Paste the address for GA into the "Add this website to the zone" window at the top of the latest pop-up.

UNTICK the small box at the bottom about server verification, then click Add,

RE-TICK the small box about server verification, then click Close,

Close the IE Tools window.

Restart IE.

I am afraid that that is best and only advice I can offer. The alternative is to remove Intense Debate, IP Blocking software, statistical and other scripts that make up the Green Arrow Site.

UPDATE

I have trimmed some of the fat from the site to increase load time. Have removed the Blasts from the Past that displayed random previous posts and removed the ability to subscribe to the site.
