Is your M.P. on this list of shame?
The following is taken from Hansard, which maintains the official record of Parliamentary business, dated the 18th May 2007.
The item under debate is the Freedom of Information (Amendment) Bill.
“Mr. Winnick:
Does the hon. Gentleman agree that although, of course, the
confidentiality of correspondence is essential—if mine were released
without authorisation I would hardly be reluctant to raise it with Mr.
Speaker to defend the honour and privilege that I have as a Member of
Parliament—this Bill is about concealing our expenses? That is the
essence of the Bill.
Norman Baker rose—
Madam Deputy Speaker:
Order. I have already said this morning that we must focus all our
remarks and attention on the amendments under discussion. The point
made by the hon. Member for Walsall, North was widening the debate.

If your Member of Parliament is on this list of shame, why not use the links on the write and ask him what it is they do not wish you to know.? Only the British National Party knows how to clean up the pig sty and remove the creatures from their feeding. For an interesting article on how the M.P.'s abuse the system, check out the B.NP. news section here.

My MP didn't even bother to turn up. To me that is the same as voting for it seeing as it got through. I hope she is punished at the ballot box.
Top post again GA.
Where have all the blog comments gone since the council elections?
I only see blog keepers and a few die hard BNPers posting.
Is apathy the new religion?
Cheers,
Harry Gow.
As far as I am concerned the only MP's who opposed the bill are those few decent men , from all parties , who actually voted against it and attempted to speak against it in the debate but were prevented from doing so due to another stitch up arranged between the crooks . Given the fact that most of our laws are now handed down to us by Europe I think we could surely cut the number of British MP's by about seventyfive percent . And they have the cheek to try to tell us they are so very busy . There is no limit to their shameless corruption but as the British electoral sheep continue to vote them into power , why should they care ?.
Exposes the quality of our representatives in parliament.
They are beyond the pale.
Take a look at this page in 'Times Online'
It seems the chap behind the bill has MS and has already claimed a quad bike on his parliamentary expenses.
Could it be he's planning for the day when he'll need to acquire some "green, green grass" from the same expenses account.
