How Come Yank Banks are back to obscene profits already ?

Something that caught my ear in the news bulletins of the last week. At least two major US banks are declaring that they have already paid back the massive loans Obama handed them, and will soon be back into the handing out six or seven figure bonusses.

So why are we still stuck with the royal Bank of Scotland. And if for every deal there is a winner and a loser, which banks are losing out to the yankee dream ?

It doesn't take a genius to work out who I think picked up the arse end ofthe deal though does it.
