As Lord Ahmed been sentenced yet?

So is there going to be justice for the dead man my ignoble Lord?

Reading the previous article, I got to wondering about what was happening in the dishonourable Lord Ahmed trial, who is/was facing a maximum of two years in jail after he admitted sending and receiving a series of five text messages to a reporter whilst driving in the dark at more than 60mph and crashing into and killing a Mr Martyn Gombar.

So what is happening? He was given an interim driving ban untill sentencing on December 22nd. A date long gone. So as he been sentenced or as he threatened the courts with 10,000 Moslems? I think we should be told?

Either way it is going to be interesting. Especially after the Lord Chief Justice as stated that new, tougher penalties be imposed on:
Motorists who read or write text messages on a mobile phone could face jail sentences of up to seven years if they cause a death, under new guidelines from a sentencing watchdog today.
So then, anyone want to start the betting?

According to a comment on Cranmer, this will now be on the 25/2/2009. Perhaps we can hope for a bit more than a slap on the wrist but I am not confidant.

If any newspaper editor had a shred of integrity or courage, this would be on the front page.

He is about as likely to see the inside of a prison cell as Peters Hain and Mandelson.
Everybody is equal but some are more equal than others.

Yes Ahmed was supposed to be sentenced on the 17th or 19th of this month, i wonder why the date was changed ? i hope he gets two years in prison (more would be preferable) so the courts can set an example to other would be persons who completely disregard the law,i think it's wrong that a peer can sit in the House of Lords with a serious criminal conviction.political mizz

GA, I raise my glass to you Sir, you don't miss a trick lol.

It couldn't happen to a nicer fella.

I hope he gets all they can throw at him, if that was you or I, they would hang, draw and quarter us even before it went to court.

Is he also going to be charged with inciting public disorder, as It is allegedly reported that he ‘threatened to mobilise 10,000 moslems to prevent Mr Wilders from entering the House and threatened to take the colleague who was organising the event to court’.

He should know his place.

Well done G.A.

Stories like this must be kept in the public eye and wouldn't it be great to see a petition made by us Brits to ensure this immigrant is sentenced in the same manner as you or I would be in his natural birth land.
